Job Description:
The candidate's primary responsibility will be for installing, configuring, and maintaining Solaris 8 through Solaris 10 operating system servers and workstations, including Weblogic servers, in support of business processing requirements. Also, he or she will perform operating system cluster patch updates and GCCS segment installations and upgrades as well as conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstation and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

- Possession of GCCS 4.x knowledge of information system applications to ensure that the appropriate controls, information assurance parameters exist, and that system procedures are in compliance with corporate standards
- Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions
- Knowledge of building Windows XP client workstations using Norton Ghost software and installation and configuration of Java software incompliance with GCCS standards
- Knowledge and exposure to currently deployed US Navy systems
