Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of internet technologies and understand what it takes to manage an NR&D environment; have 4+ years of server administration (experience should include; but not limited to Windows, Linux/UNIX, MacOSX and Mobile Platforms); 3+ years of networking experience (experience should include, but not limited to: router and switch configuration, LAN configuration, firewall configuration. Minimum Cisco CCNA preferred); Willingness to automate repetitive tasks; Scripting or development background (PERL preferred); Understanding of server architectures and hardware; In-depth knowledge of various protocols; Experienced in internet computing and networking; Familiarity with open source tools and their use; Experience with Unix and network security, including firewalls (commercial and open source); Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills; Experience with network attached storage devices; Creative problem solving and analytical nature; Results oriented in meeting commitments; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Entrepreneurial, driven by a new challenge; Strong communication skills; Self motivated, energetic and tenacious; and Flexible; responsible to changing situations.

Skills:
The successful candidate is required to have the following skills:
- An in-depth to comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and techniques gained through extensive study and experience in systems administration
- experience with scripting languages such as shell script or Perl
- Solaris 9/10 administration experience and prior experience configuring servers
- Clearly present approaches and findings; implement information plans within a project; install and configure COTS products
- Capable of administering and/or managing multiple activities and consulting effectively with customers
- Ability to apply methodologies, standards, and policies
- Strong working knowledge of Solaris 10 Virturalization, Networking, LDAP, Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic and Bluecoat CPL is preferred
